1) Let's just say that Dad was a wee bit shocked when he saw his son step out on stage with his hair teased to the roof and more make-up than some of the girls in the place. Of course, once he saw the female reaction, he understood.
2) I grew up on 80s metal and 70s hard rock. Now days, most of what I listen to is representative of that. I will admit however that I am finding a lot of new bands that I am enjoying. Of course, these bands would all be about my age, so they'd share the same influences.
3) Motown, country, and late 50s - early 60s rock'n'roll... and yes, I love it all.
4) To each their own. I'm not going to put down anyone for what they listen to, as long as they respect my opinion that I don't want to hear it.
5) No, but I do look back at the clothes I used to wear and get hysterical.
6) 30-something-ish.

Brian McCann - Had a great season final 12 months, whilst Martin did not Albert Pujols - He gained MVP for a reason. he's between the appropriate Dustin Pedroia - He too gained MVP for being insanely good final season Hanley Ramirez - the different Ramirez is coming off his rookie, so his next season will fairly be sure if he's a valid participant. besides the undeniable fact that, Hanley has already shown that. David Wright - He has been consistent for some years, and continues to be youthful. Jason Bay - He hit wonderful with the Sox final 12 months Grady Sizemore - how are you able to not p.c.. a 30/30 participant? Josh Hamilton - Ichiro is in simple terms too previous now David Ortiz - He can hit without facial hair, and he can in all probability nevertheless hit properly with facial hair. besides the undeniable fact that, Giambi that's the two mustache (good) or no mustache (unfavourable). CC Sabathia - This guy carried a the Brewers to the playoffs along with his wonderful overall performance interior the NL Joba Chamberlain - The SP place did not artwork out that properly, yet Joba can nevertheless be a dominant reliever. Jonathon Papelbon - I tihnk he's extra consistent that ok-rod. If he became given sixty 9 SVO i'm particular he might basically have blown 3 or 4, unlike ok-rod who blew 7. Terry Francona - Torre had the Yankees all those years, that is why he has a one among those good rep. i like Francona extra advantageous for already triumphing 2 chmapionships

1) My parents were a lot older but they never criticised my music - just the volume (my dad was 50 when i was born!)
2) classic rock ( it was mainly new rock when i first heard it.lol)
3) My parents were into Dean Martin ,platters , sinatra etc. My mum loved ABBA though !!!!! (if we are being honest ,I like Deano a bit too , I am named after him .my full name is Todd Dean Martin .)
4) I wholeheartedly endorse my generations music and feel proud to have grown up in such a creative time of popular music ,and I feel sorry for todays youth that have not had this.
5) ahhhhh ...... yes . a lot of the late 70's- early 80's songs are hilarious in retrospect .
6) 44 in body .15 in mind (or younger.lol)
to elaborate on question 4 : I grew up in an era where a new record was the most exciting thing ever and you could not wait to sit and listen to the whole thing through 4-5 times and dissect every noise and word. Nowadays music is so throwaway and a song can go in and out of fashion in a couple of days .My kids will love a song on monday but by thursday it is no longer "cool" . I will never understand that.
I expect part of the reason is the sheer volume of material that is released today and that it is not good to like too many different genre of music.

1. My parents not only approve of my music, they listen to the same stuff. If it wasn't for them, I probably would have wound up listening to the dregs that populate the airwaves nowadays.
2. I listen to rock and roll from the 50's to the 80's, funk, R&B, soul, blues, folk, metal, classical and 70's punk.
3. See 1.
4. I think the music of today is made by talentless people who just act all flashy for the MTV cameras. The music industry needs to bring talent back into the equation.
5. Generally not, although I occasionally find a song I listened to that I wondered why I thought it was good.
6. I am 16 years old.

1) Did/Do your parents approve of your music you listen to?
I can't say they loved it but they appreciated the fact I was listening to bands instead to Techno or crappy Pop bands
2) What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to anything and everything that is good - NO Country, NO Rap/Hip Hop!
Mainly Classic Rock and Heavy Metal....... and Mr Billy Joel, of course!
3) What type of music does/did you parents listen to?
My Mom is more into Classical and Classic Rock where as my Dad is like me, he will listen to something if it good. He is very into Eric Clapton, David Gilmore, The Eagles, The Beatles, Frank Zappa (where I got my love of Zappa from)
4) Do you approve of your generation's music?
When I was younger I dismissed it as being flippant and disposable but now I know that it forms the soundtrack to my life so I approve of the songs that take me back to place in time. I think today's generation should be very concerned about the state of "popular" music. I know every generation says that but seriously there is a lot of just generic rubbish out there at the moment.
5) Do you look back at the music you listened to and laugh?
No - l am a music fanatic to whom cultural trends mean very little. I will be listening to the music that has enhanced my life for all my days no matter what year is came out.
6) How old are you? (optional)
I am 33.

1) Did/Do your parents approve of your music you listen to?
Probably not mostly. I listened to Christian rock growing up from junior high until graduation and my parents thought I was being "sucked into some cult". (My parents are NOT Christian)
2) What type of music do you listen to? Now? A little bit of everything except opera and screamo/hardcore (not big on the "cookie monster" vocals)[and yes I still listen to Christian rock and still am a Christian..]
3) What type of music does/did you parents listen to? My dad used to be oldies and now is mostly classic country (lots of Conway Twitty)/ Mom is today's pop country (Shania/Faith Hill type stuff)
4) Do you approve of your generation's music? There's good and bad in every decade. There was a ton of garbage hair metal in the 80s but a lot of the new wave stuff still holds up pretty well. And I still love a lot of the Christian music of that era.
5) Do you look back at the music you listened to and laugh? Only for some of it.
6) How old are you? 37

5) There are 2 bands I wish I could deny ever having listened to {it was around 1995 ~ I was young and impressionable!}

1) Mostly, they really like a lot of my garage rock and some of the psychedelic, my mom even likes some of the less abrasive punk (The Calsh, some Ramones, Johnny Thunders etc.).
2) Proto-punk, punk, new wave, post-punk, hardcore punk, garage rock, art rock, art punk, pysychedelic punk, glam rock, early rock 'n' roll, and some "classic rock", pop
3.) Pop, folk, soft rock, "classic rock"
4) Hmm, not many bands my age are famous enough for me to know much about them, but I get the notion I prefer the older stuff.
5) No not really, I went through a stage where I gave up all my old music but I've matured to the point now I can like what I like whether it's in line with the rest of my music or not. But I never really listened to anything really embarrassing, and I didn't get heavily into music until maybe a year and a half ago.
6) 86................................................................ months
EDIT Edit EDIT Edit EDIT:
206 months, I am not 7 years old. What's sad is that math is actually my strong point.
(Thanks Connie)

1. No, they never knew. I was extremely covert. I was an introvert in high school toward most classmates as well as toward my parents.
2. In High School I was metal. Now I am across the board. I look for musicianship and some intellect.
3. Some albums my parents had: Johnny Mathis, Herb Albert, Chubby Checker, Elvis, Classical, Marty Robbins
4. There is good and bad from every generation. It takes some work to cultivate a good list of songs.
5. No, I have a good track record.
6. 43, I have been and am around alot of musicians. I am well intouch with the modern music scene. I look younger and act younger than my age.
