Hi, Jenny. It's more of a riddle aimed to provoke discussion. I'll try to make the next question clearer. Thanks.

One relationship, because your partner in a relationship should already be your best friend, plus more. I'd rather have one individual in my life that satisfies all of my needs, than several individuals who satisfy some of them.

Depends on your definition of happiness, I suppose.

There are types of friendships I can't have with my significant other, as close as we are, that nurture and nourish me. The bond we have is amazing and very meaningful, but for all of that there are parts of us that are unique and individual and need to be catered to and nurtured by someone who isn't the other, if you follow me.

I think that to be a fully-realized and emotionally-satisfied man I would need more than just a number of friendships, but without a support group of friends even the relationship that I have with my significant other would falter.

If I had to choose for my personal happiness? The love of my life, of course. She has no comparison. But she's also not a guitar player, and she just can't get excited about me buying a new set of ElectroHarmonix EL34 power tubes for my Mesa Boogie Trem-O-Verb, no matter how emotional I may get about it. Enter my friends. =)

Would depend on reason why, if the friends were unworthy,
or if this is a case of control and jealous nature. Either way
how could "all" be happy? This question does not make sense to me, not enough detail.

I would chose one close relationship, I have had the same best friend for over 45 years, we were in middle school together, and have been close ever since, and now we are both in our late fifty's, so we seen it all together, I was with her the moment she met her husband, and she was with me when I had my daughter, she never had any children, and I named my daughter after her.....
