Usually they are more 'dynamic' .. especially if they have US Management ..

You usually get stock options and are often very well paid (compared to UK equiv.) = it's not unusually for a Bonus of > 20% salary to be paid.. .. but you get minimal holiday, never any overtime pay (except the manual workers) & often expected to work 50 hrs + a week. ...

.. and (of course) they are REALLY "results focussed" .. if you fail to hit targets (or get sick too often) they WILL get rid of you ...
