...even if he spent a lot of money on you just to impress you? it would turn me off. his priorities are not in order. money is not all that important. i would think that he has some issues deep down.

this is really just directed at women. i know that men will date women for money.

lol...ok you women, time to get off your high and mighty horses. If a guy was spending a ton of money on you and buying you expensive things all the time....YOU'D BE LOVING IT, stop fibbing! Yes, it would get old after a while when you realize that was all that the guy had to offer and he probably didn't have a lot of substance ...but at first you'd be eating it up...and i completely DEFY any chick who is going to say differently. Be honest already! I can pretty much buy myself anything I want...I'd still be impressed by that for a wee bit. Long run in a real relationship not important...short term it would score points. I love how no one wants to have the appearance of being shallow or materialistic in YA...pahleeeze.

Huge turn off. I knew a guy a bit like that. He wasn't showering me with gifts or anything, but he talked A LOT about how much money he made and all the expesive trips he liked to take and all I could think was "Am I supposed to be impressed by this?" It just made him look really insecure and kind of pathetic.

DEFINITELY a turn-off -- I am NOT impressed by things ... it is the PERSONALITY and sparking spirit/wit/intelligence of the MAN that makes him attractive indeed.

(and yes, some Men DO date women for money -- especially if they are like me -- and Military (and yes, I AM a Military Retiree). They see the $ and Benefits .. and do not care one wit for the person behind the $)

I hate it whilst human beings brag and say ineffective issues to electrify human beings, in spite of the undeniable fact that, I could desire to assert I do it too each and every so often. the version in it somewhat is that i don't have the objective they have - I brag only by using fact i prefer to entertain human beings, only like whilst i'm telling a narrative, you variety of exaggerate, yet basically to make it exciting, to no longer lie, it is not by using fact i'm jealous or desirous to electrify somebody via my "spectacular skills".

yes, because it would seem like the only thing he has are his material things and his $$, and that would make me think that there isnt anything to him besdies his cash and things -- meaning bad personality etc..
