The Briggs is on a lawn tractor and runs but the starter died and cost to much to replace. So if you have any ideas or know how to start it please tell me.

remove the cover over the fly wheel, take the screen out, put cover back on, find a socket that will fit the nut on the flywheel, buy a drill adaptor that will fit the socket, 1/4 " 3/8 "drive, and will fit into a drill,
turn key on put in park or have some one sit in the seat, spin it over with the drill till it starts,
have a 17-1/2 hp i do that to,

Look on the side and see if where the pull rope is that there is a sprocket poking out that has a notch in it for a pull rope...some have them some don't..if so take a stout rope and tie a knot in the end of it, put a wooden handle on the end of it ..wind it up and pull it.. I do not know the age of this motor..so as I said..it may or may not have this on it..
