It's even more commercial than before. I didn't think that was possible, but here we are getting pounded over the head with "buy this, buy that now!" in September.
I think more people celebrate it even if they're not Christian because it gets more and more family/child-oriented all the time.

Yes, because our generation is superficial and over indulgent. The shopping frenzy has taken the spirit out of it-Christmas used to be a time to spend with loved ones and exchanging gifts that actually had some meaning.

tremendously -- now people are more interested in getting gifts along with other commercialization in getting money than for the commemoration of the real reason for the Christmas Season.

25 years ago, kids were hoping for a specific present. Today, kids don't even get the chance for that, people buy them things they don't even have time to wish for.
