When you feel like you might lose your mind, take a deep breath and look into his beautiful perfect face. Connect with him. Think "This is actually quite funny." Pick him up and dance around the room. Make funny faces. Tickle him. Laugh at him, out loud, until he laughs. If none of that works and you have a car, try taking him for a long drive till he falls asleep. They are only this little once, and really, someday you will look back and miss these days.
No matter how frustrated you get, NEVER shake him.

I pretty much raised my little sister when I was 17 and it got frustrating at times. When I got entirely overwhelmed or was getting angry at the constant puking and crying(she had some serious esophagus problems) I would get her car seat out, put her in it in the middle of the living room floor where she couldn't reach anything, buckle her in and walk outside. I would stay out there as long as I needed to sometimes up to 20 minutes. But 20 minutes of crying is better than hurting your child from frustration. When I walked back in the house she would either be sleeping or smiling and I was refreshed and ready to deal with the next round of vomit.

I hear you, and sometimes it really does take a village to raise a child. YOU MUST TRY TO STAY SANE!!!! :) Have fun with your baby, but also remember to ask for help sometimes! Even the best parents in the world need an occasional night or two off!

my first month was a terror. i was exhausted, trying to recuperate from a csection, the baby slept for 2 hours at a time and i couldnt' get into the knack of sleeping inbetween. 4:30am was a nightmare for me. breath. put him somewhere he can't hurt himself or get out of and into anything than go take a deep breath on the back porch, cry a little. but relax, you're doing fine and you are NOT alone!
