You can change text size on the screen by going to SIZE on the tool bar (Windows XP) or at the VIEW manual (Windows 2000).

Minimize all windows (quick way is to press Win Key + D). Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select properties. Click on the Settings tab and make sure the resolution is at least 1024x768 (or whatever suits you).
If you cannot get it above 800x600, you need to have the video card driver reinstalled. Click on Start > Control Panel > System, click the Hardware tab, and then the Device Manager button. Expand "Display adapters" and right-click on the video card and select "Remove" or "Delete". After all of the warning windows (click OK on them), you should be prompted to reboot. Reboot the computer and let Windows reinstall the video card driver. You should now be able to open the desktop properties and change the resolution in the Settings tab.
Good luck!

Your screen resolution has been changed somehow. Three previous answerers offer good suggestions if you have a CRT Montor.
If LCD, they failed to mention that you must use it's "Native Resolution" and a horizontal scan rate of 60Hz ONLY. This is all explained in the User Manual.
To find your Native Resolution look for your Make & Model number on the vendor's website.

On a blank spot on your Desktop right click and go to Properties.
Then go to the Settings Tab
Once on the Settings tab, look for the Screen Resolution
Slide the bar to the one you want and click OK.
You can choose from:
640 by 480
800 by 600
1024 by 768
The higher the number the smaller the Icons and stuff it's going to look.

I would first cancel any pending print jobs by clicking on the printer you're using from your Control Panel and then rebooting your computer. That should do the trick.
It sounds like your printer's buffer overflowed with a lot of garbage.
Then after rebooting try printing something simple like just a paragraph of text and see if that works okay.
