If I read the question correctly and depending on which type of pills you're on. . . You currently have your period and are taking the colored pills instead of the regular pills (mine for instance are white for 3 weeks and then brown for the week of my period).
The pills you take during your period are a very low dose of hormones. Just enough so that your body has a higher level than what is normally found during menstruation. It's not as big a deal if you miss these. It's the other one's that you need to worry about missing.
These are the pills that trick your body into thinking it's pregnant and prevent you from becoming pregnant.
The following is according to WebMD, "If you forget to take a pill, take it as soon as you remember. If you don't remember until the next day, go ahead and take 2 pills that day. If you forget to take your pills for 2 days, take 2 pills the day you remember and 2 pills the next day. You will then be back on schedule. If you miss more than 2 pills, call your health care provider for instructions. Those instructions may be to take one pill daily until Sunday and then start a new pack or to discard the rest of the pill pack and start over with a new pack that same day.
Any time you forget to take a pill, you must use another form of birth control until you finish the pill pack. When you forget to take a pill, you increase the chance of releasing an egg from your ovary. However, if you forget to take any of the last 7 out of the 28 day pills you will not raise your chance of pregnancy since these pills contain only inactive ingredients. If you miss your period and have forgotten to take one or more pills, get a pregnancy test. If you miss two periods while taking the cyclic birth control pills (those that have the "inactive" pills at the end of the pill pack) even though you have taken all your pills on schedule, you should get a pregnancy test."

The pills you take when you have your period are just sugar pills so missing them won't matter.
Each pill tells you to do a different thing when you miss a pill. Ask your doctor on Monday. Or ask them if they can call the prescription into the pharmacy so you can just pick it up there.

Really you will only be missing Sunday's pill.
What if I miss a pill?
Although you should take the pill at roughly the same time of day, it is not considered missing the pill unless you forget to take the pill for the whole day.
If you miss one hormone pill: take it with current day's pill (2 total) as soon as you remember.
If you miss 2 hormone pills: take 2 pills as soon as you remember, and 2 the next day, then back to normal.
If you miss three pills, that's it! you will get your period. Throw away the package and start over with a new package.
If you miss a sugar pill, don't worry about it.
If you miss any hormone pills, you need a backup method of birth control (such as condom) for the rest of the month.

Rosebunn, have the pharmacy call your doctor. They can give you the next months pills by calling or faxing your doctor. You really don't need to miss your pill. If you do miss one or two you will need to use some other kind of protection for a few days. Merry Christmas

you can, but its not recommended, especially if you are sexually active, there could be consequences. and it can throw off your cycle and you may even skipped a period. i woudl take the sunday pill early monday, and then the monday pill at night, if you are still concerned, call and ask your doctor, they may be able to call in your prescription for you.
Oh and Oryx, is wrong, it still has horomones and medicine in it to help prevent pregnancy, thats why they have that week of pills for your period, they dont just skip it

What does your pamphlet that came with your pill pack say to do????!?
Or talk to the pharmacist.
Or talk to the DOCTOR.
Or google your pill online.
MOST LIKELY it will say to take two one day, and two the next and use condoms for a week.
but check with your doctor or online first!

ok...
You won't be harmed by this. You just need to not have sex until you are able to get your medicine. This will/may affect you.
