OMG!!!! That is sooo illegal...you cant be fired from anywhere in the US for being gay....your sexual preference has nothing to do with how you do your job and if you can prove that they fired you for being gay and for only that you can sue their azz off.....i feel bad for you that you have to go through this....you have my fullest support.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL WRONG!!! WAKE UP!!! WHAT COUNTRY DO YOU THINK YOU LIVE IN?
It is *perfectly legal* to fire some for being gay in Arizona, and 29 other states. Generally if you live in the middle part of the country or in the south, there is no recourse if you get fired for being gay.
This is George Bush's country, where ignorance reigns. We only live here and pay taxes, it's not our country. And you posters have all confused reality with what is just and proper.
outta here, I encourage you to provide a citation for this wonderful law you speak of, but sadly I am afraid you are mistaken. You may have heard of proposed legislation granting workplace protection to GLBT folks, but it HASN"T PASSED!!
from the HRC:
"Currently, federal law provides basic legal protection against employment discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin or disability, but not sexual orientation or gender identity and gender expression."
Sorry for shouting but I am amazed at the level of MISINFORMATION on this subject. Hopefully this will make all of us more aware of what's at stake at election time.

It is against Federal Law to discriminate in the workplace because of race, religion, gender, age or sexual orientation.

There is more to this story..they didn't fire you because you are gay, that's for sure.

Not, it is not legal anywhere - but how can you be sure it was because you are gay? That will be the tough part to prove.

Probably; if you can actually prove someone was stupid enough to use that as a reason in this day and age.
