First distribute:
(i^3)*4 - (i^3)*(3*i)

Regroup:
4*i^3 - 3*i^4

Recall that i^2 = -1:
4*i*(-1) - 3*(-1)*(-1)
-4*i - 3
-3 - 4*i

distribute
4i^3-3i^4
since i=sqrt(-1), i^2=-1 and i^3=(i^2)(i)
i^3=(-1)i
i^4=(i^2)(i^2)=(-1)(-1)=1
-4i-3
