His father apparently gets around $50K per speech (or used to after leaving office); Clinton gets 6 figures. Will Bush be in either one's neighborhood dollar wise?

Absolutely. He cowtowed to plenty of rich constituencies. But I suspect he will limit his speaking engagements and in stead go back to enjoying his family fortune. Sr. and Clinton had a point to get across, and they still do. Jr. never did have a point.

I would pay extra to attend a Bush speech after he's finished in the White House. That's like going to a comedy show. Imagine how he'd do without those speech writers. I'd bet he'll charge way more than anyone else due to the fact that he doesn't like public speaking.

Nope. He'll spend all of his time speaking at Christian events in Texas, probably a Baptist college student event in North Texas in the fall of 2009, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, other church organizations. He probably won't take a lot for speaking fees, and the Conservatives will rave that he is so wonderful for not taking so much money and will hiss at Clinton for the money he took for speaking fees.

Probably not. Regardless of anything else, Clinton is an excellent public speaker (which says nothing about the quality of his presidency, one way or the other). Therefore, accordingly, he has high speaking fees. G.W. is charismatic in his own way, be he isn't eloquent enough to really command that sort of compensation.

I highly doubt that Bush will ever be paid any notable amount of money for a public appearance. He has lost all credibility with America and most other countries, and few politicians want to be associated with him. Most people distance themselves from the president at all costs. Perhaps a university or other public forum might invite the president to speak, but I doubt he will be paid for it, at least not a worthwhile amount.

Bush will have lower speaking fees because it will just be monkey talk according to some Americans.
