Nobody likes to loose. People may want to take revenge to even the score. (Note: I am not condoning revenge acts)
They may also want to take revenge to ensure that person learns that they cannot do wrong without a consequence.

I ask the same question. Getting someone back makes you no better than they are. I guess society hasn't taught us anything in 2000 years other than to be bullies.
Me, I personally use the karma route...what goes around comes around and all I do is sit back and wait for the s**t to hit the fan in their direction and although I should laugh and be happy I no hand in it....it doesn't make me feel any better.

ohhhh my mom has told me forever that it isnt good to be vengeful and I am so vengeful...... I guess because if someone has the gall to purposely wrong me, i always believed they deserved it back ten fold!!!! BUT.... with age, maturity and more sense, i have come to realize that you really are hurting yourself by carrying all that anger around.
