To a European account without being charged from my bank 50 usd to wire it there?....Is there a better way ?....If I have them give me a cirtified check would it take 6 to 8 weeks to be able to withdraw?....Any other suggestions?

Your bank charges way too much for international outgoing wire fees. I can see 35 dollars but 50? That is insaine.
But its the best way to go. Foreign wire transfers usually take 1-5 business days for the beneficiary to receive the funds.

Pay the $50 or wait the 6 to 8 weeks. It is cheaper than physically transporting cash. I doubt Western Union will beat the fee, but you could ask. The only other option I know is Travelers Checks, but I believe the fee for those will be more than $50.
