I pretty much know what to do about the carpet and the couch that my 10yr. old soils. I'm still waiting for him to stop, but that's a different question all together.

When I was younger, my mom would use Lysol for Laundry, in the brown glass bottle, though it's probably in a plastic bottle now. Keep in mind it's not the Lysol for housecleaning; it's made specifically for laundering. It doesn't leave a lingering smell either, or irritate sensitive skin. If you can't find it in your local retailer, check your pharmacy.

I learned from my Grandmother, always put in a couple of capfuls of vinegar when washing underwear and socks, to get rid of any smells. This, I would assume, would take urine out of clothes as well.

Go to your local pet store and buy "Nature's Miracle." It will take any smell out of anything! I always have it on hand. Just follow the directions, and odors disappear. It is a very safe enzyme, that really works!
