when my mum was having my brother (now 14) she nearly died and she said she remebers having a near death experience where she was in a church floating over her body and looking down and saw people preying for her.
is this like a realistic dream becuase your body is shutting down?

thanks

I've had an OBE (out of body experience) like this... I was just sitting in the classroom, and all of a sudden, 'I' was seeing 'my body' from behind. It only lasted a couple of seconds.

When you ask 'what does it mean', are you implying 'how does this work"?

some people say it shows proof of life after death- but I disagree. I don't think it suggest anything paranormal.

Read this, please"The theory also states that out-of-body experiences, accompanied with NDEs (near death experience), are an attempt by the brain to create a mental overview of the situation and the surrounding world. The brain then transforms the input from sense organs and stored experience (knowledge) into a dream-like idea about oneself and the surrounding area.Whether or not these experiences are hallucinatory, they do have a profound impact on the observer. Many psychologists not necessarily pursuing the paranormal, such as Susan Blackmore, have recognized this. These scientists are not trying to debunk the experience, so much so as searching for biological reasons that cause an NDE"

I had a similar experience thirty-four years ago, giving birth to my daughter. I wasn't anywhere different but I felt myself leave my body and float up to the ceiling. All the time this was happening I had an awareness of surprise and the thought that 'oh there is a part of you that is you and carries on'.

My sister was flat-lined with an asthsma attack a few years ago.She had a near death experience too. In fact she was dead for a few mins.
She said she also was floating and was moving towards a white peaceful light. She didn't want to come back because it was so comforting.
Unfortunatly for me, she did die from asthsma one year after her experience. At least I knew she wasn't afraid.

This is real, when you don't die also your soul can do this but need especial practicing (if naturally you don't be able to do) and she is not the first one that this happens for her.

They are real. I have had one before. You can draw your own conclusions about what they mean, but for those who have had them, we know they are real.
