You could ask for a sub on your wages as it would cause unnecessary hardship for you to wait given the time of year. They could refuse this. However, collectively, if you all complain straightaway, and particularly support those people who are desperate, then the company may relent. You could get everyone to join a union and ask the union to intervene - it may not be in time for this Christmas but it will damn well make sure the company doesn't pull anymore stupid stunts like that. If you really all feel very strongly, walk out - it will be an illegal situation but if you all do it, you stand a better chance of being heard. Good luck.

Nothing basically and they know that. The time between now and Christmas is too short to get any authority involved. It happened to myself and other workmates once a few years ago. When the new year came people started leaving and the company started to struggle. You reap what you sow basically and it backfired big time on the company and of course they deserved it for treating people the way they did at Christmas time.

This is down to poor planning .
Suppose your company went bust tomorrow and even retrieved Novembers pay from your account ?
Are you working to live or living to work ?

I'm annoyed about exactly the same thing atm. There's not much you can do really...if a company pays you before Christmas it's seen as a friendly gesture, but they don't have to do it.

Nothing. Contact the labor relations board; but short of walking out, or sitting down with management and asking for a change, you're probably stuck.

Depends, if it falls on your regular pay day (every other friday or whatever) there is nothing. If not, it depends on your state. You could contact your local labor board.

I don't think you can do anything legally. Most companies do pay wages before Christmas but they aren't obliged to................
