The marriage is for real. I'm from Las Vegas and got married in Las Vegas. We had a real wedding with a real signed wedding license and real nevada state seal certificate.

My husband and I got married in Vegas and trust me it is real and legal. Got my marriage certificate just the other day with a form to fill out for a social security card in my new name.

Of course its a real marriage!
Regardless if it's Elvis performing the ceremony or some Kling-on warrior. As long as they are licensed in the state of Nevada to marry people, it's legal.

If you get married anywhere you are married. Why would you think that a Vegas marriage is not valid?

All states have what is called "reciprocity" (as in "reciprocal" or turned the other way) when it comes to marriage licenses (and for the most part, driver's licenses and teaching credentials) - if you marry in one state, all the other states honor that wedding (or driver's license, etc.).
