Well practice will get you at least a little closer to it. Perfect is motivation that keeps you going. Although I will not doubt that you could ever achieve it.

Technically, you're right, but "Practice makes better" or "Practice makes closer to perfect" doesn't have quite the same ring to it. Besides, you're confusing, I think, a generalised concept of perfection, which as you point out is a moot point, with a more specific perfect score, e.g. on a test

With practice comes improvement. Practice will make you the best you can be. It may not be perfect, but it will be much better than without practice.

One can execute playing a musical piece flawlessly (i.e. play all the notes, as written on the score) without being perfect, themselves.

The best way to achieve this is through practice.

Think about studying[practicing] very diligently for a test....and then you ace the test...

It's not implying that people themselves can ever be perfect.

Being perfect and doing something perfectly (or at least extremely well) are two different things.
