Do you think Pearl Jam will be the next Rolling Stones? I hope not. I love Pearl Jam. The Stones have just gone on far too long

I think Pearl Jam is the Led Zeppelin of the 90s-2000s. They have put out 8 awesome albums that will be timeless. The only differences is that people listen to crap nowdays, so PJ isn't as popular. But in 20 years, people will buy Yield and still be blown away.

To answer your question, I think Green Day will be the Rolling Stones.

Pearl Jam isn't even in the same league with the Stones.
The Rolling Stones are now, and always will be, the best.

Two thumbs up for nominating Pearl Jam...I think the reason the Stones still thrive is women heart Mick Jagger :-D...even though they were great at their time stronger bands have emerged....and looks, sadly, seem to mean far too much in musical success nowadays over talent.

Guns and Roses wasn't half bad either but they were never considered sexy and, honestly, I still agree Pearl Jam was more talented (which is why you hear so few Pearl Jam songs at Karaoke and few popular guitarists ripping out Eddie-Vedder-ish soulful solos...they were just that advanced)

Great, another maroon.
Mick Jagger could cut a particualrly ripe cheese and it would still dwarf Squirrel Jam's entire catalog of Eddie Cheddar's demented yodeling.

Hey, don't hate Me cause I don't like Pearl Jam, it's just My opinion, and I don't appreciate hacking on The Stones...they are supreme rock legends

unfortunately they won't because they aren't classic enough as the rolling stones are treated as and don't have that history and all that commotion rolling stones give off. my guess would be that it'd be led zeppelin since there are rumours of a coming back and more albums to be produced not just a concert reunion.

I would say the only band that will come close to the long term success of the Stones would be U2.
