The only problem I had with the show is that when she had to "wear adoption" she should have been with the mother who was giving up her child. The 15 year old is not the one that will be in the happy room with her family and friends to meet her new baby, like the woman she was with. She will be in the other room, alone, and feeling things most of us cannot describe. I am not against adoption, or abortion, everyone has their choice, I just wish they would have showed the part of adoption that she would be going through herself.

The appeal of the self-help industry is that it allows people to blame everyone but themselves for their problems. It's much easier than making a commitment to change your own life. But, I will admit, it's pretty fun watching him freak out on his patients.

i'm a woman and i don't like watching him. when he first started his show, i thought he brought up a lot of good points, but he's gone too jerry springer for me. i do think he gives good advice in the oprah magazine, but he's not selling ratings there.

Oh geez I haven't watched him in a coons age; when I did I liked the way he just dug into the problem and in the end when he would go and pick up his wife and they'd walk off stage hand in hand.

Dr. Phil is obnoxious and usually wrong. But he is a bully and that can be entertaining.

Because he analyzes issues we can relate to. For the same reason men like to talk about sports, women like to talk about relationships.
