I have really long lashes, but theyre stupid and stick straight out instead of curling up. When I use my curler, they stay nice and curly, but as soon as I put mascara on, they fall flat. they go straight out again! I have tried heating it and using a heated curler, which does make a nicer curl, but still when I put mascara on they droop! Any tips??
Thank you!

I think some mascaras straighten your lashes -- at least, I have noticed that some mascaras straighten my lashes more than others, even when I use a curler! Try a different mascara, maybe even a curling one. Right now I am using Maybelline Sky High Curves and I like it! (In contrast, L'Oreal's Lash Out made my lashes straight as soon as I put it on!)
PS: I would NOT recommend applying mascara before you curl them! The mascara will stick to the eyelash curler, and will damage your lashes -- it might even pull out your lashes when it sticks! Now if the mascara is 100% dry you might be able to curl them (I've never tried that), but just don't curl them while the mascara is still wet!

Use a lash tint, it's not as heavy as mascara. Then ruin some hot water under you eyelash curler, so it's clean and will prevent eye infections, then curl.

A clear mascara should work to hold them, or try a mascara that says its for curling your eyelashes instead, Rimmel do some good ones

Try a lash primer or conditioner. They are lighter and don't have the "hair spray stiffness" effect of normal mascaras.
You can even use the primer then the regular mascara, that may help also.
Good Luck.

DONT put mascara on before you curl them, that ruins them and may break them. just curl your lashes, i know people who have long lashes and they dont even need mascara. if you musttt have it on though, get one of those curvy brushes. when you apply it only do the top part dont go under here ill show u in a picture lol

Why not just try doing the smudge (not a lot to look dirty) but just a bit of eyeliner on both the upper and lower part. Sometimes if I have to run out really fast and have no time to do my makeup...I do just that....only the eyeliner, and smudge it slightly....I have dark hair, and eyelashes....If you are a blonde then ignore this answer .....
as the eyelashes would be too light in color.

buy a mascara that doesn't lengthen and only curls and thickens.
some girls curl their eyelashes after they put on mascara. it isnt good for your lashes but it does work.
