depends on how you handle it, if you've got dinner ready and you're wearing the right outfit, maybe he wont' notice right away

I reckon he will be disapointed and be angry at first but will realise its only a material item and you are more important and that it was an accident. He will try find a solution to get it fixed. Good luck!
