The best thing that you can do is to be active in your drama club at school and any local theatres. Another good thing to do is read biographies on your celebrity role models. They will often give good advice at how they got successful and how you can too. Don't look at your parents trying to shut you down as a bad thing. Use it to your advantage. It should encourage you to keep striving. The more people that try to discourage the more you should encourage yourself because when you do make, look at how many people you proved wrong.

sweetie, I think that it is important for you to understand that so many young people your age all want the same thing. Atleast probably 3 times a day the same question pops up on here. Very few of those kids make it as an extra on any Disney Channel show and they have their parents support and a lot of time and money. Disney Channel isn't all that. If all you want to do is be an actress there are a TON of ways to do it without Disney Channel. Get involved with whats going on around you. Do community theater or your school plays, take the class at your school or some where around you. If you live close to an urban area there is probably a theater troupe you can join and take extra classes. Take dance classes and join your school dance team. Compromise with your parents. They only want what is best for you and without their support you will be able to do very little in your life. You won't become famous over night, maybe not at all but if all you want is to be an actress than this really pays off and makes you feel good. Its really fun and a great way to get started.

Get more experience in local theatre groups etc, do some singing lessons so you are more of an all-rounder, work really hard at dancing/acting/singing (take exams etc) and then when you are not reliant on your parents anymore (not sure if thats 16 or 18?) audition to get an agent.

You are never going to become a disney star. Teen actors who are successful have their parents working hard to make them that way. I think you should just be in the school theatre and enjoy it. And I think you should study very hard in school, especially in English class.

Are you on a school dance team or drama club? That's where you should start. You have to get experience. Also, take classes to improve your skills.
