At every power failure my Computer Shuts. The UPS does NOT work. Could you tell me what is the problem?And how can I fix it?
And Could you also tell me How much harm this abrupt shut-off is causing to my PC?

you probably have a dead battery on the ups
sometimes abrup shutdown of a pc isn't good but windows can 99% of the time recover from a unexpected shutdown unless there is massive data corruption

First step, are you sure i5t's plugged in correctly. Some of the UPS we have at work have one side battery back up and one side surge protected. If it's plugged in correctly, then it probably needs the battery replaced.

It's almost always a dead battery. Radio Shack has a few standard size UPS batteries.

more than likely the batteries in the UPS are dead. replace them.

the battery is probably shot ... get a new ups ... and it probably wont hurt anything but it could corrupt ur harddrive eventually ..

never did like UPS......i prefer FED-EX myself
