take a flat head screw driver and pop of the grate over the drain.
most of the time it is just hair that clogs showers.
use a metal coat hanger or wire and make a small hook on the end... try to pull out the clog.
its probably stuck in the trap which should be directly below the shower.
you could also... let the water run so that it builds up in the shower pan... then use a toilet plunger on the drain.. this could knock the clog loose... but if it doesnt you will have water standing in your shower..
you could also go to the hardware store and get a hand snake.. they arent that expensive.. pop the gate off the drain and run the snake down it.
i would try the other two before i spent money, even though it is good to have a drain snake in the house just incase
chemicals to unclog drains can damage the drain lines in the long run.. they eat up the clog.. they can eat up you pipes too.

Open the drain, then pour in Draino. Then a few minutes later hot water. Works like a charm!
