It depends what candy cane you get, because they are all different depending what store it came from. Mostly its white and red. But candy canes aren't always red or white, they can be red and green, white and green, or even all three! So your debate is weird, its based on a majority. If its tied, just go with white and red. It will do you good. Or buy a candy cane and see. They are cheap these days, like three dollars for a box! So here you go, a couple of ideas for your Christmas candy canes!

They are White & Red - the candy base is white and the red stripes are applied later with more white on top or sometimes the red is just painted on - but the base is always white.

White and Red.
They take a small portion of the white candy base and dye it red. Then they lay out the white and red striped pattern and wrap it around a white base. this is placed in a machine that rolls it down to a much smaller diameter.

There is a story behind the candy cane and the reasons for its color, white is for purity, red is for the blood of Jesus spilled on the cross to make us white as snow and save our Souls from Hell, look it up on the web, its there.

They're white with red. (They're mostly white, with the little bit of red "ribboning" throughout.)
You know what, forget that. I like what Santa Baby said better. But personally, I prefer the red, green, & white candy canes. Now are those red and green and white, or green and.....................

White and red if there is more white than red, red and white if there is more red than white. Hope that solves the debate!

relies upon on the candy cane. I particularly have got here upon that peppermint style is white with purple stripes, while strawberry style is purple with white stripes. all of it comes right down to what coloration the centre is.
