does anyone know what soldiers did in the time when they were not on the frontline? or where to find the info? Did they get punished if they returned late or did they not have enough time not on the frontline? any info would be useful, since i cannot find it anywhere! You see i'm writting an essay on the conditions soldiers had to face and why they continued to fight, so i need the information

thank you!

thanx!

As stated previously, they really didn't have too much time off of the front.

Some men spent months on the front. There were not always enough men out there, so they didn't get much time off. They would have gotten to leave for a while if they were wounded, but that was probably the biggest time.
