S & H Green Stamps reminds me of a funny thing that happened when they were so very popular. Everyone was collecting them and saving them and you got them in many stores when you made a purchase. S & H Green Stamps were everywhere. There was a lady who had an appointment to see her OBGYN. Before leaving her office she made a quick stop by the ladies room and unfortunately there was no tissue available so she reached in her purse and got a Kleenex. She proceeded to her Doctors appointment and when she got to see the Doctor and he prepared for her annual exam he busted out laughing. This poor lady had a S & H Green Stamp stuck in a very embarrassing spot. Later she figured that the Kleenex tissue that she had used earlier had a stamp on it from her purse and it got transferred to that most embarrassing spot. I bet that that lady still remembers S and H Green Stamps.

I remember licking those stamps! My mom would collect filled stamp books and cash them in on whatever we needed at the time. Why did they stop dealing out those things?

yep I remember licking those stamps. We would get them at the gas stations and at the grocery store and after we filled about twenty books of them we turned them in and that is how we got our Christmas presents.

Yes, I remember. This is too funny as I was just talking to a co-worker about this yesterday at this time.
I think my mom got a waffle iron.
