I love walking on the beach. To hear the sound of the waves is very romantic. Would you like to join me Father?

There are quite a few stores within walking distance. The train is right down the street. If I need to I can take a bus just about anywhere. There is a nice sense of community. When it is nice out, my kids play on the front step and the kids from the street come over and play with them. People seem to really care about each other. Last year I was out shoveling the ice from the sidewalk and this guy I didn't know came over with his metal shovel and finished it for me in less than 5 min what would have taken me over an hr. He also did all the steps and sidewalks for the older people in the neighborhood. My street has pretty trees lining it and it looks nice.
What I don't like about it is the parking.

Its sort of a toss up... I live in a really small town where everyone thinks they know everyone else's business and enjoy getting involved in it so that's not a bonus to being here.
I also dont care much for the seasons here - its pre-winter, winter, post-winter, and construction and they all suck. No good waiting for spring or summer here... always too stinking cold for that.
On the other hand, I dont live IN the town - I live a few miles out and right by a little lake. Its really nice and peaceful, you cant hear a bit of traffic or anything from my house. There's wildlife wandering though the yard at any given moment and its fun to watch - that's the one benefit.
Too bad I just cant get away from the people in town... grrrr

I live in the beautiful desert near Sin City Las Vegas but where I live is a small town just two miles long and close to the beautiful flat topped red rock mountains of Utah, I love the warmth here and the nature. It is desolate in away and yet so amazing so much to enjoy the sunsets are a sight to behold and the animals are enjoyable it seems I can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and get out there and pretend that I am an Indian maiden waiting for my handsome brave to come riding in on his stallion ready to whisk me up and take me to our tepee and well I will leave the rest to your imagination. I love it here; and you Father?

Well, I like where we live because we live so close to my husband's family, but unfortunately my family lives 30 minutes to an hour away so I don't see them very much. But I am so glad that my daughters are around all her aunts and uncles and cousins and can have a relationship with them. That is something that I never had growing up. I don't have that many relatives, and they all lived far away on the other side of the country.

I'm surrounded by sea, 200 yards from the beach, with views to the Southdowns and the Isle of Wight and have a great friend(my wife), great neighbours, a lovely family close at hand and a decent Premier League football team to support.

I like that Im in the middle of the city (Tempe) and I can hop right on the freeway 4 blocks away that leads to easy access to the entire metro area---unlike the saps who bought big homes for cheap monies and have to pack a lunch to get anywhere near the metro area! SUCKERS! LMAO!!

I like that I live so close to the prettiest park in America in a city with lots of weirdos and museums and that I live with a dirty old pervert drunken priest in a wheelchair.

Like: It's a quiet country town, little traffic, and it's about 250 miles from where I was previously. That's good.
Don't like: There's not much to do in the town.
