First off, sulfur will inhibit your body's ability to function normally so I discourage that practice. In pharmacy school I learned that none of the over the counter herbs, oils, lotions, pills, etc are regulated. Not for potency, not for consistency, not for purity, not for anything. I really don't recommend anything other than the vitamins such as the multivitamins, vitamin C and such. Glucosamine chondroitin has been shown to work for people with arthritis but you have to take it for 3 months straight before you see any benefits. There are prescription medications such as Fosamax and Boniva that help bone regrowth and medications such as Enbrel, methotrexate, celebrex, etc that are used to treat the pain. I recommend you see a doctor or talk to your local pharmacist before you go down to the local health food store and take their word for it. There are the vitamins that are fat soluble in that you can have too much of them which I call ADEK. Vitamin A, D, E and K are the vitamins you can have too much of, but also need to be eaten with food containing fat for them to be absorbed. Hope this helps, stay healthy.

Medicines come from natural plants. You should find books that can teach you about alternative medicine. Aloe Vera is used for digestion for stomach disorders and ulcers, constipation and hemorrhoids and all colon problems.. Sulfur comes in the form of MSM and that is what you take. If you go to a health food store, you can find MSM and take it for joint repair as well as for your bones. It works well with glocosimine and chondroitin which is also good for arthritis. Chondroitin attracts water to the proteoglycans and holds it there which is important for maintaining healthy cartilage. Glucosamine actually builds cartilage. MSM can dtoxify the body on a cellular level. It can relieve pain and inflamation as well. there are many naturals substances or plants that can help your body instead of drugs. I sugest you read the book listed below and conduct your own research.
NOTE: pregnant women should not take glucosamin eor chondroitin and people taking blood thinners or asprin daitly shouldn't either. The book listed below is awesome; check it out and they might have a website as well.
ALSO: Natural remedies and herbs are not approved by the FDA but that does not mean that they are not safe. You have to do your own research and know what you are taking. Educate yourself first. Also that guy is wrong, sulfur is naturally in foods such as fish, fruit and milk. Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is naturally occuring in plant and animal tissue. There are many kinds of sulfur, he must think there is only one kind, he does not know what he is talking about.

Some stuff works-some doesn't.

Vicks vapor rub helps toe nail fungus.
Bio-flex joint compound (glucosamine)helps with bone joints.

Ask around-try something. If it helps, keep using it.

P.S. Looks like there are at least three doctors rating this answer.
