Oh goody and he's getting at that age where he is sticking stuff in his mouth and trying to eat it, too!
Among other children they caught my daughter doing it at daycare so she's not allow near those particular toys. But she picks at the underlining in her car seat pad and eats the little cotton fiber and then gags on it. Talk about projectile vomiting!!!!! I don't know how in the world 6 ozs of milk can go in and an hour later what seems like a gallon comes out. And I've realized what a very sensitive gag reflex my child has because of this. Do they keep their floors clean of debris? Are their any swings with those liners that have that cotton fiber backing? You'd be surprise where their little pincher fingers will reach!

A call to the doctor is the safest, but you can be sure that if you make the call, they will want you to bring him in.
Of course, your biggest concern for a child this age is dehydration. If he's keeping liquids down right now, my guess is he'll be fine....
If it were me (and it's not!!) :-) I'd see how he does over the next few hours and call the doctor after-hours if he vomits again. If the doctor is concerned, he'll have you head for an urgent care. If the doc's not concerned, they'll say so too.
I hope he's okay!! :-) Sorry you're stuck at work...

There is a virus going around that does this. Check his temperature . This virus follows with a temp. i am in Illinois and so many babies have it here. It may just be something that did not settle on his stomach well. Has he been fed at day care. I assume he is still on formula and some veggies. So I would just monitor him with the thermometer. I sure hope he is feeling better now. I am so sorry you are stuck at work. I would be worried sick. Makes good mothers feel so helpless. I admire your concern.

I raised 2 childrens and function 3 grandkids. All i will furnish is from very own adventure. whilst my infants had a fever without different indications, I wasn't in contact except the fever became 103 or bigger. save your toddler dressed without extra advantageous than what you may positioned on. He could desire to be too heat with all that he's donning. A heat bath for sort of quarter-hour will help save him cooler and feeling extra mushy. attempt to furnish him clean beverages as much as he can tolerate. If his fever is going up for the time of the night, don't be afraid to call the dr's answering provider. desire this helps.

As long as it doesn't happen again and he doesn't have a fever then don't worry yourself to much. From experience and raising three daughters fevers are a sign that something is not right. That our immunization system is trying to fight a virus off. Just monitor him and if he doesn't have a change in his routine maybe it was something he ate OR to much milk or maybe he was moved around to much after a feeding. Ask the sitter if he just finished eating or how long ago he ate. Good Luck!

He might just have a little flu, nothing you can really give a 6 month odl anyway other that tylenol infants drops if he has a fever. Id have your husband check the fever then go from there. And call the doctor for advice if your worried, but I wouldnt be too worried.

As long as the baby is eating and has stopped vomiting. I would just keep a close eye on him and if the vomiting continues(more than 24hrs) I would go to the doctor just to be sure.

Keep an eye on him now. Introduce liquids like Pedialyte slowly and don't worry about it unless he can't keep anything down. Probably just a bug he picked up. Daycares are germ factories. If he has a fever or any other symptoms, call the doc.

Just keep an eye on him. Chances are he just ate something funky!
Dang people on here are dramatic! I have two daughters and the only reason either of them have puked was because they ate something that didn't agree with them, they ate too fast, or they shoved their finger down their throat. Oh yeah, that's a fun stage!!!! Anyway, without any other symptoms and no more occasions of puking or diarrhea, there is nothing anyone can do for him.
