Why not? School boy wrestling is so much better than the stuff you see on WWE. You can actually go to college on a scholarship and even make it to the Olympics if you are really good. There are many different weight classifications.

First off practice makes perfect, so get in all the practice you can now, so when you join the team next year, you can show the other guys what you got. Second, high school wrestling is straining. I have friends who wrestle, and you should here the thing they do to try to make weight. It is so nasty. And finally your height has nothing to do with it. One of the best WWE wrestlers, Rey Mesterio, is shorter then that. So have no worries. You will do fine.

Wrestling is very demanding. I used to do it.
As it is divided into weight classes, height doesn't mean too much.
It seems easy in practice... and the moves are simple to learn... however, the hard part is remembering them in a match.
The matches are like six minutes in Hell, more ifyou go into overtime. They havebeen the hardest six minutes in my life, and I never go all six minutes, as the match is usually over by the middle of the second period. I usually win, but still... it is demandin.

Wrestling isn't so much about strength as it is balance, agility, and technique, so don't worry about being "super strong". Conditioning is a must though. I don't know where your from, but most universities that have wrestling programs offer winter or summer camps where you can go and learn. Good Luck.

You will be able to learn stuff next year. and If you're waiting a year... start lifting weights now. and you can put on enough muscle in a year to wrestle. (i don't lift weights at all really, and i still do good for being a freshman)

It doesn't matter how old you are. What matters is how hard you're willing to work.
If you put in enough work (both during the school year and during the summer), then you can even become the state champion in your junior year.

Quit your job, becaue you won't have time for anything, and you will have to work the rest of your life.
Wrestling in high school is mostly about leverage, so stay low. You have to run so hard you will puke, but it will pay off.
You need to think you can beat anyone. If you doubt yourself, you have already lost.
Jesus man, learn how to spell. You are in high school? whew!
