1.Hydrochloric acid solution and sodium hydroxide solution are mixed in a container. The reaction is allowed to occur, and then aqueous silver nitrate is added to the same container. Assuming that everything reacts completely (none of the starting compounds are left after they react), what compounds are present in the container at the end of the experiment?

2. If copper(I) sulfide is partially roasted in air (reacts with O2), copper(I) sulfite is first formed. Subsequently, upon heating, the copper(I) sulfite thermally decomposes to cuprous oxide and sulfur dioxide. Write balanced chemical equations for these two reactions.

answers would be nice, but just teaching me or walking me through how to do these problems are great as well.

1) HCl(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> NaCl(aq) + H2O(l) complete reaction

then AgNO3(aq) + NaCl(aq) --> AgCl(s) + NaNO3(aq) complete reaction

you are left with a ppt of AgCl and a solution of NaNO3

2) 2Cu2S(s) + 3O2(g) --> 2Cu2SO3(s)

Cu2SO3(s) --> Cu2O(s) + SO2(g)

1. HCl(aq) + NaOH(aq) ===> NaCl(aq) + H2O

NaCl(aq) + AgNO3(aq) ===> AgCl(s) + NaNO3(aq)

2. 2CuS + 3O2 ===> 2CuSO3

2CuSO3 + O2 ===> 2CuSO4
