Okay, Here's the situation.
Ur at home, relaxing....haven't taken shower yet, you look a mess and your hair is a wreck..... AND your house is a complete mess. Its a Saturday, so ur gonna clean up later.
Ur friends call, unnannounced..... stating that they will be at ur house in 15 mins.
do you clean the house?????
or,
do you fix yourself????
you can't do both.

How about tell them to take their time .. about 25 mins instead of 15. Seems reasonable. I would try to do whatever I could to the house but you've GOT to do something w/ urself or they'd probably laugh about it all day: "Remember how her hair was all over the place!?!" L0l Your house being a bit messy is understandable bcuz it's a Saturday and you are going to clean it and you don't have to look like you're ready to go out on the town & party but you should at least be presentable .. I'd rather have ppl ask "What in the world happened in here?" than "What in the world happened to you?"

This is the very reason why I always stay ready. I keep my house clean just in case anyone wants to just pop up, now occasionally I will LOOK a mess, but in that case I can always throw on a scarf to cover my hair and call it a day

I tell my rude, inconsiderate, friends that they may be at my home in 15 minutes, but I will be gone in 5 minutes. Then I hang up. Then I either leave home, or stay in and take a nap. If the doorbell rings, I do not answer it. Friends who want to see me must make an appointment at least a day ahead. So, I neither fix myself up, or clean house. I relax.

I would throw everything thats mess in a closet and run into the shower. this way you can sort of do both.......or call your friends and tell them to give you more time. Otherwise i'd clean the house and put a hat on!

you could do both clean certain part of the house for 7 1/2 minute and freshen up the other 7 1/2 minute

i would fix my self first quick
and if i have time clean a bit of the house
and if they come and the house is messy I'll just tell them don't mind the mess since there my friends and have a laugh out of it

Clean yourself up a bit. That way if your house really is too much of a disaster, you can just call them back and suggest you all go out together instead. =D

To be perfectly honest, I shower very quickly, normally in about six or seven minutes, so I would shower and then start throwing things about the house to make it seem cleaner. Then again my house isn't allowed to get messy like that.
