Absolutely. I am 5'4" and I weighed 95 lbs. when I got pregnant with my first. I gained about 45 pounds and had a healthy 8 lb. 4 oz. baby boy. I kept a little bit of the weight after him and I have had 2 more children since then all healthy and happy.

Do this woman have her period now? It doesn't seem likely. I don't think this is a good idea, her BMI is too low.
Another thing - someone that is 5'1 100 pounds is very different than someone how is 5'7 and 92 pounds.

Oh totally! It doesn't matter what size you are. My mom was 5'1 80lbs when she got pregnant. The only problem that she had was falling onto her knees, but that could be because she also had an 8lb kid!
If you weigh that much and you are pregnant, your doctor or midwife will definitely tell you to eat eat eat!! That's not a healthy weight for pregnancy, but you can get pregnant. If you're ttc and haven't and you think that it might be because of your weight, I doubt it, but talk to your ob/gyn about what may be stoping you from conceiving.
Good luck!

If she's healthy enough to ovulate then she can get pregnant. But at that malnourished weight it's doubtful she's even ovulating/having her period. And if she doesn't put on adequate weight while she's pregnant the baby probably won't survive.
At 5'7 she should weigh at least 125 to not be considered underweight.

That is really small I'm 5'5" and I weigh around 95 pounds and its been really hard for me to get pregnant. I can't even gain the weight so really I'm not sure if its my weight or if its just me. I have alot of friends that were really small when they got pregnant. I had a friend 5'8 and 105 pounds and it was really easy for her.

Yes you can but why are you so skinny? If you have an eating disorder your body wouldn't be able to take on feeding another life. Gain some weight and be healthy and then consider having a child after that.

Hi, I don't see why not. As far as I've always been told once a women gets her period there is a possibilty of creating a child. I would not think your weight or heigt would be a problem. However it might not be a bad idea to disscuss this with your docotor. Just to be on the safe side. Good Luck to you!!!!

You need to gain some weight first. That's very unhealthy. I'm 5'1 and weighed 93 when I got pregnant I'm now 120. My daughter is very healthy but that wasn't a bad weight for me to start at.

pass tell your mom that. yet first get somebody to stand between you and her on your secure practices. Martin Luther isn't the only guy or woman to ever have a dumb opinion in this worldwide.
