Im doin a report on this and cant find and info or help on the web. What Im looking for is how does magnetism relate to atoms. Please Help

Perhaps magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is what you're thinking of. Aligned regions of ferromagnetic materials (like iron) form permanent magnets. Electrons flowing between copper atoms in a wire form an electromagnet.
