A blank card must have been hand delivered to my home, as it didn't have my address on. However, it did have my (first) name on it. There was nothing on the card other than the following letter/number combinations:

52 / 28.7 N
1 / 53.9 W

I have no idea what they mean, but as it was hand delivered and had my name on it, it'd be nice to know! No idea who posted it either, as it was on my mat first thing in the morning, way before the postman arrived.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Rich, Birmingham UK

Look up the co-ordianates on a map. Sounds cool.

First you convert the decimal latitude and longitude to seconds
0.7 x 60 = 42

0.9 x 60 = 56

Then you go to a grid converter to get British Ordinance Survey letters and number

SP06964.86717

Then you go into a map reference converter

which shows you a map of central Birmingham uk
with an arrow pointing to Birmingham New Street - Central Rail Station - for Birmingham

The next postcard needs a time and platform number, or its no date !

52 degrees 28 minutes North and 1 degree 53 minutes West are the coordinates of central Birmingham. The 7 and 9 are probably seconds - so, close enough to identify a street but not an individual house. But its probably where you (or your secret admirer) lives.

They very much look like co-ordinates on a map.

In all seriousness I would bet any amount of money that one or more of your friends are about to either wind you up or plan an honest surprise for you.

Nine times out of ten there is a very normal explanation behind the "paranormal". It's all just hype designed by very clever-yet-honest hoaxers or by con-men trying to make easy money.

You can either follow the map or ignore it. Either way be careful.

If they are map references (which they strongly looklike), then it depends how you interpret them.
One location it gives on Google Earth is a place slap bang in the middle of Birmingham.
Another is the headquarters of the Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC.

It is a map reference, the corner of Virginia Ave and Market St, Clarksville, Virginia. Maybe you know someone who lives there.

Looks like some sort of map reference, you tried looking on Google Earth at those co-ordinates? You might unearth some buried treasure.
