Its not that youre not a good student...you just like putting off things until the last minute like me! :) I think i get things so much better if i study the same day of the test. I am quite a perfectionist too so thats why I tend to procrastinate. If i dont do things at the last minute then there's no way its going to get done. I like the rush of it! Maybe you should put things on a schedule and stick to it. Procrastinating could be a good thing.

well one of the best answers i can give you is if you get an assignment thats due the next week the best thing to do everyday take 5 to 10 min out of your day thats not much and work on it a little even if you just do a sentence or paragraph and then leave it for a while and come back an hour or two later or even the next day and do the same and so on , next thing you know you'll have the whole thing done without even realizing it
so you can get the best of both world by doing your work and procrastinating at the same thing
this is call managing your time try it thats what i do
hope i help

Find someone that you either admire or want to be better than. There's this guy i know who made my want to be smart, do now i try almost all the time. I like him btw. Also, if this girl whome i do not hate but, we've always been rivals, since 5th grade (i'm in 10th now), if whe was in one of my classes, she and i would take turns being the best, that's how it works with us. First i'm the best, then she becomes the best, then i become the best again. In athletics it starts with her. I'm naturally faster than her, maybe, but i have athsma. Sometimes i run so hard i feel like dying, but that's not even enough to make me stop. I don't have any classes with her, which sucks, because i need more motivation than a guy who thinks he shouldn't talk to me. For whatever reason, a friend of his hates me, so that might be it (but he acted DIFFERENTLY with me today. Hmm....) Just find some competition. Forget the whole crush idea.

You first need to know your goals. Once you know what your goals are then you need to see them every day.
Let's say you have 3 main goals for the next few years, maybe one would be to become a doctor, another to get married, and last to live in New York City.
Now understand how your goals tie in with were you are now and what you are doing. If you are currently going to school, remind yourself that it takes a good education to become a doctor, which could lead to you getting your other goals.
You now have to stay focused on these 3 goals every day. You should write them on a poster and put it right in front of you study area. Then you should write them on a index card and carry it in your purse or wallet, so you see it every time you go to buy something.
Knowing your goals is the key to staying focused on the task at hand.

You can start by asking a question on yahoo answers. This will undoubtedly waste some time and require very little effort. Then you can waste some more time sifting through the answers to see if someone else can come up with some useless info...
Finally, some useful info i was once told when i was a student, and i will pass on as it helped me out big time: "Get off your fat lazy *** and do some f*cking work you worthless, soon to be jobless motherf*cker."
Hope it helps :)

When given an assignment for school or a task by your parents or you decide on a goal for yourself, remeber every good job needs a deadline.
Subdivide the big job into smaller mini-jobs.
Assign a deadline to each.
Move the deadline back 20% & go to work.

goals, goals, goals - plaster them above you desk. I use to calculate my GPA all the time and scare myself into studying so it would not drop. When I was in college I posted the price of tuition above my desk. Every minute procrastinating was money down the drain.
