For Thursday the roads should be ok for driving - the ice has had two days to melt and crews have been putting stuff down.

When they get south in Oklahoma, power might be an issue because there are still thousands there without it. However, there should be some gas stations along the way with powers and/or generators so I would suggest that they gas up whenever they can, and take a lot of non-perishable food with them. Also, call ahead to get a motel or hotel with power reserved.

I just got back from Waco and the roads and such there are fine...but i've heard that a very bad ice storm is hitting Oklahoma tomorrow so tell them to be careful!
