what would you compare that to?

just living each day,and you dont know the purpose of it all, thats hard.

I dont really know the reason, but I am sure it is for God,we are here for God.

as humans we normally need a reason for everything we do,yet most people dont know why they live.

its hard for me to read those answers, along the lines of,I will just make the most of the time I have here, because I know it says in the bible,1 day here is 1000 days in heaven or hell.

Im not preaching.

The Apostle Peter says that, "one day … is as a thousand years".

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day..." (2Peter 3:8,10).

I think that's why were here we are given the opputunity to discover this for our selves some enjoy the journey others don't, having not long lost someone close to me I'd say what I learned from her was that at the end of her life she had learnt what was important and the true meaning of life but whether that is what we are all put here for I don't know or whether whatever we are meant to find is personal to each one of us but we do have free will so how we go about discovering this is down to us.

God planned for me to be here... why i do not know... but here i am... answering your question...

i am going to live my life... going from day to day until the end... building up memories... experiencing this world... but whether i do it for god is another matter...

i dont know why i am here... i dont know if god has something big planned for me... or if im just an ordinary person in between big people and big events.

i live but i dont know why... but its not hard

i let god guide me... but sometimes i may go of track...

god put me here... i dont know why... but im just going to keep plodding on until god calls me back...

but no i dont think we are here for god... in my faith i am told its a test... frankly i dont like tests... all that stress all the pressure all that mind-washing nerves... so i form my own answers... they change daily...but its better than the ones ive heard

i dont need a reason for everything we do...i did some shopping and blew the money... yet i dont need a reason as to why i thought it was a good buy... at the time i did and now i will use the items as best as i can.

so i dont really need to know why i live. i live. therefore im going to make the best of it.

The reason I was created is very apparent to me because I can express it on canvas. I AM AN OIL PAINTER. I didn't have to learn how to paint because my talent is innate. Whenever I question my existence, I remind myself that I was given a beautiful gift that is not to be wasted. I can express anything I want through my paintings - they tell a thousand words. I have been told repeatedly, and by many, that I have outstanding talent, and I am very grateful for that.

Why does there have to be a reason for life at all?

What makes you think that humans are so important in the universe and beyond that there should be a reason?

Not everything has a reason. some things are very unreasonable. I think life fits pretty well in that category.

If you choose to live your life for God, then please do so. Not everyone has made this choice; there is nothing wrong with that. I used to contemplate "why" we are here. I truly don't know. It could be for God. It may be we are pets for another being. Perhaps, we are specimens in a giant zoo. Who really knows for sure. More often than not, I live for the other people in my life; at least I know they exist.

I think everyone has an idea why they are here- wars have been fought over the issue; lives lost...

The bottom line is no one knows. We all spend our entire life pondering the question- its certainly not overlooked.

Well my theory is that we live for a reason unknown to us. We will only understand once we die and depending on how we have spent our lives we will be moved onto the next stage.

Its just a theory guys its my own way of understanding god. Maybe the goal of life isnt to make money but to establish a relationship with god and depending on how well we do this we will be rewarded accodingly.

It doesnt make sense to make soo much money and own soo many material possesions only to die and leave them behind. even if your are an Egyptian king or something and your burried with them because somebody will dig them up and put them up on display in a museum or somethng

Why does every thing have to have a reason?
As Des Cartes said "I think therefor I am"
That is reason enough, people made up gods because they think everything needs a reason, sad really, why can't we just "be".

The purpose for which we exist is to have faith in God, and Allah, and Buddha, and the ******* tooth fairy.
Oh, I hope Santa brings me nice things!
