I will be backpacking around the world next month. We will be arriving in Sydney at the end of May- beginning of June 2008.
Could anyone recomend which cities to visit according to the temperature? Should we start in the South/North?

We want it to be warm- and not cold and raining (as we get enough of that over in London, England). What direction should we travel in? Which Cities/places are worth visiting?

We will be there for 6-8 months- and working at the same time, maybe harvesting.

well the time your arriving will be autumn so i would say to stay north for winter in queensland or Darwin around there. really nice and tropical, and because its winter there wont be much rain. really nice in Darwin and north qld in winter. in spring you might want to go a bit south...maybe Brisbane and some parts of the gold coast. its good to go to sydney in summer because the heat and humidity is quite mild compared to northern australia. melbourne would also be a good place for summer.

In May/June you want to explore northern Australia from northern Queensland through the Top End and darwin to the Kimberley and Broome. It is the dry season up there, everyyjing is open and it is very pleasant. It is also a good time to go to central Australia - Alice Springs and Uluru. It can get gold in the desert but you won't die of heat exhastion. Uluru is closed to climbers after 8am from now until march because of the heat.

Southern Australia is great in summer with Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne having dry weather. It can get very hot with temperatures above 40°. Sydney and Brisbane are best, weatherwise, in Spring - September to November. The cooler weather has finished and the days are not too hot. Most importantly it is the driest time of the year. Both Sydney and Brisbane have wet summers and autumns. That being said, the Festival of Sydney is in January starting with the New Years Eve fireworks over the Bridge and running for the month with free concerts every weekend in the Domain.

Anywhere in Australia is enjoyable at any time of the year but to get the most out of your trip, go north in May and explore the tropics. Head south at the end of August.

If you can get there, on the first Saturday in September, the Birdsville races are run. That is an experience you will never forget. Birdsville is a remote village in southwest Queensland with a population of about 50. On race weekend 250 or so planes fly in, buses and cars arrive and the population soars to a couple of thousand all in party mood.

a million) they must! changing this team, which performed so properly right this moment may be a stupid ingredient to do. I dont think of any participant ought to be rested after basically one game, and enjoying an entire power team is often solid in T20s. 2) He performed somewhat properly. His unbelievable of the ball grew to become into only spectacular. we could see how he performs interior the subsequent T20 first, and if he performs properly in that experience too, then I dont see any clarification why he shouldnt be picked for the ODIs too! 3) they are doing a incredibly solid job, arent they? they seem to realize each and every thing they do, and their commentating grew to become into somewhat somewhat solid too. i assume they are able to maintain on commentating as they are doing a job in it, until they like to do some thing else.

Fly direct from London to Thursday Island. Noel Pearson will greet you at the airport, and show you around.
