Is The Gnome a male or female, does anyone know?

He/she is a bit of a conundrum, like Spider and a few others that keep me guessing. lol

Although the Gnome is almost always portrayed as male it is indeed a creature of both sexes! Usually seen in yards and gardens puttering around a tree with an ax or carrying dirt in a wheelbarrow, some just sit around all day smoking a pipe! They are adorable and are European in origin.

The Gnome would have to be male and female, if not they would have to immortal and indestructible.
