Well, Fluffy, you can do that, but there was a time I expect that you didn't spell every word perfect, and I expect that you didn't say them perfectly either, And yet, you did want to communicate .. A misspelled word is not a life or death matter... But the listener or compassionate person. Does get the greater respect , then the whiner or the complainer. sorry if I've wasted my time , answering a question for a person who's mind is closed to the value of being able to get a thought across with out being made to feel like one doesn't quite measure up to your standards.

Thanks!

It is really no problem or extra effort. Having proper spelling and grammar really makes oneself come across as being intelligent. So there really isn't any choice if you THINK about it.

EDIT: Oh, and I must say that the spell checker in Y!A is horrible. There are so many words that it does not know. I constantly have to copy my text over to MS Word for checking.

Does it really matter about bad spelling as long as the gist of the question is understandable? Not all bad spelling is due to laziness, and those who have trouble (and for who the spell check is absolutely no use) don't appreciate the criticism they receive, which can sometimes be very hurtful.

i suck at spelling, but i don't think its a big deal just so long as i can still understand it. People have good questions, they just can't spell. There are words you can't spell because they seem hard to you this is the same for easy words to other people...so don't make such a big deal out of it

I absolutely agree!
I for one can't stand people who spell out their questions all wrong...it takes forever to read (and figure out) their queries.
So I say "thank you" too!

I agree with you, it is great when you come across correct spelling and grammar. For those of you who use spell checker, shame on you, did you never listen at school?
