I booked a vacation through Priceline.com, and the hotel has no record of my reservation. I called the Hotel and they are full for two of the three days of my stay. What recourse do I have against priceline if they are unable to provide me a comparable accomodation? I booked a suite at a 4 star hotel, and I am hopeing that they will provide me with a suite at another 4 star hotel, however I leave for my trip in 4 days and I fear that they will be unable to provide me with comparable accomidations. What should I do?

Get on the phone with Priceline and speak to their customer service folks for some answers. It may be that the hotel has the reservation under Priceline or something like that. Priceline has an obligation to get you a comparable hotel since they are your travel agent - speak to a supervisor if you have to.

Try going to www.tripso.com and read some of Christopher Elliott's articles about the travel industry. He has some excellent suggestions for dealing with hotels and online travel agencies.

If you don't have a confirmation email, you technically never made the reservation.
