You are all correct in that this is a poorly asked question. My thought was that what if the producers or whom ever the writers are striking against are prolonging the strike because this is an effective way to quiet the Stewarts and Coberts. I miss their shows very much and wondered if big business prolonging the strike to keep them quiet. I hope that makes more sense now. It is effectively quieting my heros and I was just wondering.

lol, no. John Stewart's writers probably hate all politicians as much as he does... after all they write the material... and wouldn't ally with Bush to shut John up.

All the writers just want more money and Internet rights and DVD sales... this happens every time a new technology comes about.

No, the writers are mostly anti-Bush. They merely want the royalties they deserve from DVD sales.
