Yes, there are a lot of Muslims that only wish to marry one wife... in fact, I will personally bet that most Muslims that are raised in modern society (especially those in North America/Europe) will only marry one.
I personally cannot see myself having more than one wife, but I was born in Europe and raised in Canada. Even those in the Middle East, I do not know a SINGLE person who has more than one wife (and I have a very large family there).

The whole deal with having more than one wife is because in the early days of Islam, many women were widows or had fathers that were killed, and in the culture then, they had no income and no protection of family. Men were encouraged to marry these women to give them shelter. Mohammed himself married a number of women who were left alone in the world, so they could be in a home, not because he wanted a lot of women. In fact, he was married to his first wife for over 20 years and did not take another wife until she died. Today, we mostly see rich people taking more than one wife because they think they are so important. I think any man would tell you that one wife is enough!

All the Muslims I have known personally have only had one wife.

I'm fairly sure the vast majority only have one wife - at least in this country. Over there.... who knows?

some muslim men like any ordinary person can be content with one wife
as long as people have found their soulmates they can be happy in any religion, sect or race

i live in an islamic country(Iran) and, yes here you can see many muslims that have more than one wife...and it is not against the islam.it is even something good to have several wives in islam

i think all of them do have one wife but some are so stubborn that they leave the first one and go for the second one

There might be ones with no wives at all and there are different gods in the Muslim faith so there are different beliefs but I would say no as an answer

we have a muslim couple live on our street, i think it depends on what country they are from , they are morrocan and very nice people
