Actually best answers can only receive 10 points plus any thumbs up it receives. So it could only get 20 points if it was picked best and had 10 thumbs up.
I assume you mean the 4 layers, the crust, the mantle, the outer core, and the inner core.
Obviously the crust is very important because it is the part of Earth that sustains life and holds natural resources.
The mantle is important because, due to its circulation, it drive plate tectonics, which is what keeps the planet dynamic.
The outer core, which is liquid, circulates and drives Earth's magnetic field.
The inner core, which is solid, is poorly understood and assumed to be iron and nickel in composition. It is likely a source of radioactive decay which produces a lot of the internal heat of Earth.

the important reasons for having layers is to discover what processes form a planet.
through studying seismic waves from earthquakes we can see differentiation in the center of the earth and can tell what elements are in the core and what is in the mantle and in the lithosphere and look back in time and see when earth began to cool and form. this can explain vast iron rich sediments that were deposited in the oldest rocks we find in the geologic column for example.
from this knowledge we can even understand the magnetic field and its role in the atmosphere and how it is pertinant for preserving life.
and now we can go beyond imagination and explore other planets and planetary systems and see just how all this fits in this expanse we call the universe.

Layers of the earth don't have any reasons, they're just there. Perhaps you should be asking this in the religion section
