oh, i used to love to drive. very very fast. i got my license revoked 5 and a half years ago because of it.

from time to time i will drive around the back country roads around my house, but i have really gotten to where i don't like it anymore, it's not the fear of getting caught driving without a license, it's just that i haven't done it in so long it makes me very nervous.

My brother is a firefighter, too, and he has seen his share of horrible car accidents. I can only imagine what it's like for first responders to have to deal with the bad things they see. How about if you ask your brother to not share details of the bad accidents he's seen because it's easy to become afraid after hearing terrible things. Sometimes you're better off not hearing about the nasty details.

I know many people are nervous about driving, so you're not alone. I feel nervous at times when traffic is heavy or the roads are slippery. I never used to feel this way.

Hi Beatnick!
Don't be afraid - be cautious. I drive two hours a day during the week, minimum, and have a part time job on the weekend that necessitates another couple of hours in the car. That's a lot of driving, but I make sure my car is up to date on the maintenance, work really hard on avoiding sleepy driving, and watch out for crazy people - they're the real hazard.

I'm not afraid of driving. Being a nurse I have also seen some horrible accidents. It doesn't effect me.

Nope. I love driving. I love cars. I am a 'driver'...I drive for relaxation and pleasure, as well as for work and commuting. I know it sounds like a blase thing to say, but I would be less scared of losing my right arm, than I would be of the thought of not being able to drive, and own a car.

Not scared, but sick of it, journeys are taking longer, rage is building up faster and the worst part of my day is the drive to and from work.

Yeah.
My biggest fear is dying in an auto accident, or running over a person
