Every place has it's good points and bad points. You need to make a prioritized list of aspects, then find the place that best completes your list.

Money magazine picked Madison, WI (never been there) and Hanover/Lebanon, NH as their top two places to live this year.

Hanover is nice, Dartmouth College (Ivy League) is there. I personally would have a hard time finding a job there, but maybe you wouldn't. It's also a place where the winters are brutal, therefore I would strike it off my list.

No income tax or sales tax in NH.

the midwest is reasonable, yet in addition chilly in wintry climate and warm and humid in summer time. i do no longer think of you come across a place the place the seasons replace and there is no longer the two a chilly wintry climate or a warm an humid summer time. possibly some place in New Mexico the place it does no longer be much lower priced to stay. i can't think of of a place which fulfills all the mixtures. you are able to desire to make a precedence checklist what's maximum intense to you and what's way less, considering which you will would desire to compromise. Any genuine super city is going to be costly, you are able to p.c.. medium sized cities in the midwest, yet they gained't extremely be like NYC. possibly Lexington...Chicago could be no longer too undesirable, yet particularly does get chilly.

move to texas. i know it gets hot, but that's everywhere you go. there is alot of jobs and alot of neighborhoods are nice. i'm from texas.
i would say that the best place is ft. worth. i just moved here a few months ago in to a nice area on the west side. they have all kinds of jobs, but you still have that "homey" feeling that is comfortable.
also, i live in a nicce 3 bedroom/2 full bath brick house that has a garage and it's only $532 a month. The houses are nice, but affordable.
